Blooming Orchids: The Ultimate Shopping Experience

On Saturday my coworkers and I attended Grand Bahama's #1 shopping party; Blooming Orchids. This event showcased some of GB's top female entrepreneurs and their businesses. Krystle, Linnnesha, Akira, Audell, Mrs. Smith and I all went to represent Renu Day Spa. We had such a great time! We were so excited to be able to participate in this event and promote Renu Day Spa and all of the products and services that we have to offer.

We're so much more than just a day spa, we're an experience that I think everyone should treat themselves to often. Renu is the perfect place to get your facials/skin treatments, massages, mani/pedis, hair styling, waxing (head to toe), body scrubs/wraps, reiki, meditation, law of attraction and feng shui classes. And of course amazing customer service!

Life Update

I've been missing in action for such a long time that I actually feel guilty writing this post lol. So much has happened while I've been gone; good and bad. But I promised myself that I would start blogging as soon as this semester was over. I don't even know where to start with all the changes that I've experienced over the last 3-4 months, and I'm not sure if I should mention them all just yet. One thing that I do want to share though is my new job. I just started working at Renu Day Spa and I love it! The atmosphere, my employers and coworkers are all so awesome.

Besides my excitement over my new job, I'm also happy about my one year anniversary coming up for my big chop. December 21st makes one year since I made that bold decision to cut off all of my permed ends and rock a teeny, tiny, curly afro. It also makes one year since I fell in love with my hair for the first time ever. I don't know what I should do to celebrate it or if I should even do anything. I'm new to this lol do naturals celebrate these kinds of things? I have no clue. I must say though, cutting my own hair was so liberating and I really enjoyed my little afro.

I think that's it for now...

:)

Oh! One more thing

Raye's 23rd in Abaco, Bahamas: Part 1

This post is so late but we've been having so much fun that I barely got a chance to blog. The first half of my trip to Abaco was AMAZING! My girls and I had such a good time. Too bad they had to leave so soon I wish they could have stayed a little bit longer.
Kenneia and I arrived Thursday morning and the fun and laughter started almost immediately. The plane ride was hilarious because it was bumpy so Kenneia was panicking a little.

Mini makeup haul & birthday nails

I thought I was done buying makeup for a while but I guess I was wrong. I went out Saturday looking for shoes and of course I found myself in the makeup store. I heard about a makeup store called Blush in the Savoy Building and my cousin Kenneia wanted a new foundation so I suggested we go there. The only thing I planned on buying were a pair of flip flops that I

Summer Makeup Must-haves

So I've been a little bit obsessed with buying makeup this summer. I've been experimenting with different things to find that perfect look for my upcoming trip to Abaco. I needed something light, with great coverage and a powder that controlled my oily skin. I also wanted a lip color that was noticeable but not too bold and a bronzer that gave me the perfect sunkissed look. Through lots of trial and error, I finally found my summer makeup must-haves! These are just a few things that worked for me in this hot weather. My best friend introduced me to Maybelline's BB Cream last year and I've been in love with it ever since. Everything else that I've listed below are things that I've used for the first time this summer.

Intro Post/Nassau Trip

I'm so happy that I've finally found the time to write my first blog post! This was initially supposed to be an introductory post but I decided to add a little more to it than just an introduction. First off my name is Rayeisa (ray-e-sa) Basden and I'm 22 years old, turning 23 on the 19th of August (yay!). I'm from the beautiful islands of The Bahamas and I've lived here my entire life; I absolutely love it. I'm a lover of all things fashion, beauty and travel related and that’s exactly what my blog is going to be about.
